From Our Workshop: How We Clean Your Rug
Every rug gets a personalized treatment. We start with a careful inspection and dusting, then a fiber-safe hand wash. After a pH-balanced rinse, we dry flat in a controlled room to protect dyes and structure.

Rug Care & Cleaning Guide
Common rug traits (shedding, sprouting, curling)
Shedding: Short fibers loosen (especially new wool/synthetic rugs). This is normal and decreases with routine vacuuming.
Sprouting: If a yarn tuft rises above the surface, trim it flush with scissors—do not pull.
Curling: Edges may curl after shipping; reverse‑roll and allow time to relax. On wall‑to‑wall carpet, rugs can stretch and won’t lay flat again.
Other maintenance tips (insects, crushing, storage)
Moths: Check hidden areas under furniture; sunlight and regular cleaning help. Use repellents with care.
Crushing: Use furniture protectors. To lift pile, gently brush with a soft brush.
Storage: Store clean and dry. Roll against the nap; use breathable wrap (not plastic) and keep in a cool, dry place.
Stain removal – quick steps
- Act fast.
- Blot—never rub.
- Work edge → center to contain the stain.
- Use as little moisture as possible; pat dry.
- Fan/low‑heat dry and brush pile to finish.
